TRAINING COURSES

EDEN training courses are taught by the experienced attorneys and technicians at Blank Law + Technology PS. Since early 2001, more than 1,500 participants have attended our seminars and courses.

EDEN offers several types of training courses:

Live Webinars: Each month, attendees join our live webinars to learn about best practices in e-discovery. We offer introductory webinars, as well as higher level webinars on focused computer forensic and legal topics. Live instant messaging and question-and-answer sessions encourage audience participation. Webinars are open to the public, but space is limited so register today!

Certification Courses: Each certification course engages participants in lively discussions and explains the laws and professional codes relevant to e-discovery. We teach by the "case method," and our experiences help illustrate the importance of careful, educated e-discovery work. We offer hands-on lessons for all computer forensic courses.

On-Demand Tutorials: These short, educational tutorials teach participants the proper way to handle electronic storage devices, forensically extract data, and complete forms and logs. Technical professionals will learn the best practices for the "hands on" steps of electronic discovery. We also offer Tutorials explaining the latest EDEN Standards.

LIVE WEBINARS

EDEN offers three tracks of educational webinars: E-Discovery Processes, Identifying and Extracting ESI, and Setting and Defending Standards.

Tracks are designed with one introductory webinar that offers a broad overview of the subject matter, and several more advanced webinars that offer an in-depth review of the subject matter. Learn more about each of the tracks below.

We offer our courses as live webinars to foster audience participation and to allow our speakers to include up-to-date information. Course information is listed below, click on each of the titles for the course description and registration page. Learn more in our Frequently Asked Questions, or click here for the complete course calendar.

These courses focus on the fundamentals and best practices of electronic discovery. Webinars will include case law and real-life examples, along with tips for success during a standard e-discovery lifecycle.

Identifying and Extracting ESI
These courses examine ESI, or Electronically Stored Information. Webinars will include an in-depth review of common sources of media and explain the proper way to preserve and extract data.

Setting and Defending Standards
These courses explore the legal side of e-discovery. Topics include "hot button" legal issues like spoliation, cost shifting, search term agreements, and protective orders.

CERTIFICATION COURSES

EDEN offers a three-day, intensive Computer Forensics First Responder certification course. The course provides a comprehensive overview of forensic data extraction, combining discovery and evidence theory with hands-on training in proper procedures, record-keeping, and testimony.

Over the last 10 years, EDEN and Blank Law + Technology have taught similar certification courses to dozens of high-level information security professionals, attorneys, and paralegals.
